I created photographic portraits of the characters from commedia dell'arte, a traditional Italian theater style. For this project, I wanted to capture the essence of these well-known characters, who are both funny and dramatic. Each portrait reflects the unique traits and emotions of characters like Harlequin, Colombine, Pantalone, and others. Using traditional costumes, careful staging, and special lighting, I aimed to bring these timeless characters to life with a modern touch. My goal was to honor the history of commedia dell'arte while exploring new ways to show it through photography.
